…If I Die, I Die è stato registrato presso i Windmill Studios di Dublino nell’estate del 1982. L’album, prodotto da Colin Newman dei Wire, contiene una delle canzoni più conosciute del gruppo, “Baby Turns Blue”. Invece di adottare un formato A/B, i lati del vinile del 1982 e la copertina dell’album, disegnata da Steve Averill, furono colorati di marrone e blu, a indicare rispettivamente la terra e il cielo.
Questa edizione per il 40° anniversario contiene l’album originale, completamente rimasterizzato, oltre a rarità e remix, tra cui versioni rough mix inediti di brani come “Ballad of the Man”, “Bau-Dachong” e “Theme For Thought”. Include anche un remix di “Baby Turns Blue” di Colin Newman, originariamente disponibile solo in versione promo, nonché le prime versioni di “The King of Junk” e “Pagan Lovesong”.
